An Air of Arrogance April 30, 2008

Disclaimer: The following column is mine and mine alone. The opinions are mine. Don't blame anyone else. I just call 'em like I see 'em and tell it like it is. If you don't like what I have to say, screw you. If you agree with me, and you sure as crap should, so be it.

.

Greetings, lesser beings of the wrestling world. Mr. Arrogance here with another effort to set all of you straight about how things in the wrestling world really should be.

.

I have been told (by one of the few out there who knows who I am) that I should tell you a little about myself. Most of my friends call me Jack Flash, although "Flash" is not my real last name. I am 84 years young. I live on a farm that I own not far from Bolivar, Tennessee, although I do not work the farm anymore. I leased all but five acres out when I turned 80. I just keep a few head of cattle, and a few chickens now to give me something to do. I was a reconaissance photographer while in the military during World War II and the Korean War. As a sideline I had a makeshift studio set up and did some photography for my army buddies. That's how I got the nickname "Jack Flash." I continued to do some photography work after I was discharged from the Army, as well as farming on the aforementioned farm that has been in my family for generations. I became a wrestling fan back in the 50's, and have been a fan ever since, although wrestling sure ain't what it once was in the mid-south area. I have a daughter who owns a home just outside Tupelo (in the Dorsey area) and a grandson who lives in a house I own in Nettleton. I come to Tupelo most weekends to see them, and I have started attending some of the TFW shows when I can. I also went to one JWS show in Jumpertown last year, although I was not impressed. I also go to some TIWF shows when I don't go to Tupelo. This group has come a long way, and their shows are usually very good. Anyway, now you know a little about me, so we'll get on to more important topics, like Death Wish and Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock.
.
I congratulate these two gentlemen for trying to motivate Jimmy's daughter to get active and do something constructive. Changing that tire was good for the girl. It is obvious that she is one of these kids who sits around in a classroom all day and does nothing but study and do homework. Well, there is nothing wrong with studying, but there's more to life than that. You also need exercise and fresh air! I applaud DW and Jimmy for making her do some legitimate work and get some exercise and fresh air. DW & Jimmy are much too important to be seen doing such menial tasks in public. Frankly, I think Jimmy should arrange to have at least one flat tire a day!
.
I read on the Wrestling News Center about a wrestler who was in a match at some organization in Tennessee and got his ear bitten off! Apparently the moron booker and/or promoter put two guys in the ring who hate each other, knowing that they were going to shoot on each other. He apparently thought they could "control" them. How stupid can you be? How incredibly stupid is that? This organization should be shut down, the owners, booker, and promoter should be beaten down, and the building where they run should be torn down. People like that should not be anywhere near wrestling. They give wrestling a bad name.
.
One name just keeps getting mentioned on the message boards, and that is Brody Hawk. Why is everyone so down on this guy? I was there at TFW that night and I didn't see him do nothing wrong. He just sat in the crowd and watched the show. So why is he on everybody's bad boy list? Brody's a hot head, no question about it, but I have not seen him do anybody wrong. He sure seems to have a bad reputation. He's a good wrestler. I think he's getting the shaft from certain people.
.
I have learned that a local group is considering putting on an all girl show. I think it is a great idea. I guarantee it would draw. It would draw BIG TIME. If they have the show, I hope they bring in Tasha Simone. There's no lady wrestler better than Tasha. There are many who are prettier, but none can wrestle better. An all girl show in this area... GREAT IDEA!
.
I could not help but laugh when I read about all of Florida Championship Wrestling's problems and issues. It blows me away to read that they don't even have bathrooms in their "state of the art" wrestling facility! You gotta be freaking kidding me! How can a facility be "state of the art" and not have bathrooms? In fact, how can a facility be legally occupied and not have bathrooms? This developmental organization for WWE has delayed repeatedly their plans to hold shows in their facility each week because nobody has a place to pee. Great planning, folks, really great planning.
.
I must give kudos to TNA Wrestling for the way they are handling their knockouts division. These girls are, for the most part, carrying the rest of the organization right now. WWE can and should take a lesson from TNA's ladies division. The big difference is that TNA lets their ladies wrestle. WWE's idea of ladies wrestling is a six ladies bra & panties match. Keep up the good work, TNA. At least the ladies are good, not like Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Black Reign, Rellick, Rhino, Sting (waaaaay overpaid and waaaay under worked), Kevin Nash (completely useless waste of time and resources), Team 3-D (waaaay over the hill), and on and on I could go. If the booking was different, if it was booked better, TNA would have the best product in the wrestling world with the talent they have. Their booking, however, simply sucks. So much potential. So many missed opportunities.
.
Randy Orton strikes again! He threw his breakfast on some members of the staff of a hotel the WWE staff & crew were staying in during the recent European tour, simply because they woke him up at the wrong time. Then he laughed about it. Randy Orton is just plain arrogant! That's why I like him. He has that air of arrogance that sets him apart from the rest.
.
I don't know who this Ollie guy is who is posting all those nice pictures on the News Center. But I do like the pictures. Keep up the good work, sir. You're OK in my book.
.
That's the way I see things right now. I'll be back in a few days with more nuggets of wisdom about the wrestling world. If you have any feedback about the contents of this column, your feedback is always welcome. I may not respond, and I may not agree with you, because your opinion is of no consequence to me, but you may sure send it. My email is luv2rassle38801@yahoo.com.
